Mr Simons from Room 4 has been teaching us about Magnets. During the first few weeks, we have been studying about magnets and how they work. Magnets are in plenty of objects including compasses, cabinets and your fridge. On the first week, we played around with magnets and it got me really curious how the magnets actually work.

Magnets have 2 ends called poles, the north and south pole. The poles are always attracted to the opposite pole which means the north pole of your magnet is attracted to the south pole of another magnet and vice-versa. Compasses uses the Earth’s magnetic field to attract to the North pole.
