Room 12 along with Room 10 has been to the college every Thursday afternoon to take part in volleyball lead by the year 13 students. Every session is different, like for example on the first session we learnt each other’s names and got to know each other. From there we built up our technique and learnt new micro-skills such as balancing, obstacle courses and games to build stamina and reflexes such as hop, step and jump. Over the course of 5 weeks we learnt how to set, serve, dig and spike, eventually in the sixth week we did a friendly competition involving points and team support. The experience at the college was fantastic because it not only helped with volleyball skills it also helped with teamwork, communication, confidence and in many other ways.
